- Medically important, Xenopsyalla sp.
- Adults commonly live for 10 days to 6 weeks
Adult size – 1-6 mm
Appearance – Less oval shape, body flatten laterally, light to dark brown, no wings, 3 pairs of powerful legs, hind leg for jumping, covered with bristle and small spines
Behavior – Nuisance, during feeding - eject feces composed of semi-digested blood of previous meal, bite people on legs, ankle and waist.
Habitat – Avoid light, found sheltering among hairs, under clothing and bed.
