Adult size – 8-13mm long 

Appearance - Flattened dorso-ventrally, roundish to oval, palps are leg-like

Behavior - Powerful cutting chelicerae that penetrate the host during feeding, nocturnal feeders. Can live for many years.

Habitat – Laid egg in 4-6 batches comprising 15-100 spherical eggs. Eggs deposited near the adults or near resting place in cracks and crevices in the walls, floors, furniture, in mud, dust, debris.
